Convert Commonwealth Bank (CommBank) bank statements to Excel or CSV
CommBank Smart Access statements use the standard Australian five-column layout — Date, Transaction, Debit, Credit, Balance — and CommBank also issues superannuation statements under Essential Super. Download the PDF statement, upload it here, and get every transaction as a spreadsheet that is checked against the statement's own opening and closing balances before you download it.

The Commonwealth Bank (CommBank) statement layout
These notes come from real Commonwealth Bank (CommBank) statements our reader has been tested against, not from a template guess:
- Five columns: Date, Transaction, Debit, Credit and a running Balance.
- Essential Super statements pair summary pages with transaction detail sections, in the sample-report style CommBank uses across its guides.
How to download a PDF statement from Commonwealth Bank (CommBank)
- Log in to NetBank at commbank.com.au and select the account from the Home page (in the CommBank app: Accounts, then the account).
- On the account details page, choose Download latest statement for the newest one, or View all statements to find a specific one.
- Select the financial year, tick the statements you need, and select Download (PDF).
Once you have the PDF, drop it into the converter — you can check the result before you pay for anything, and the first 10 pages each month are free.
What to check after converting
- The result is marked Reconciled — the rows reproduce the closing balance exactly. If a difference is shown instead, our guide to why a statement does not balance walks through the usual causes.
- Five-column layouts check cleanly; if a difference appears, look first at rows that split across a page break.
- For Essential Super statements, convert the transaction detail sections rather than the summary pages.
- Spot-check two or three rows against the PDF, especially around page breaks. Our guide on how to check a conversion shows a two-minute routine.
