Convert Chase bank statements to Excel or CSV
Chase checking statements group transactions into sections by type, each with its own table and total, under a front-page account summary. Download the PDF statement, upload it here, and get every transaction as a spreadsheet that is checked against the statement's own opening and closing balances before you download it.
The Chase statement layout
These notes come from real Chase statements our reader has been tested against, not from a template guess:
- The statement opens with an account summary: beginning balance, deposits and additions, ATM and debit card withdrawals, electronic withdrawals, checks paid, fees, and the ending balance.
- Transactions are not one long list. They are grouped in sections by type — Deposits and Additions, ATM & Debit Card Withdrawals, Electronic Withdrawals, Checks Paid, Fees — and each section has its own table.
- Section tables print Date, Description, Amount and a running Balance column, and each section ends with its own total.
- Chase credit card statements use a different layout built around an account summary with the new balance, the minimum payment and the due date.
How to download a PDF statement from Chase
- Sign in at chase.com or in the Chase Mobile® app.
- Choose Statements & documents (on the website, from the main menu; in the app, tap Profile & Settings, then Statements & documents).
- Pick the account, then the statement year — Chase keeps up to 7 years of statements online, depending on the account.
- Select the month and use the Open or Save icon to download the PDF.
Steps follow Chase's own Statements help; menu wording can differ slightly between the app and the website.
Once you have the PDF, drop it into the converter — you can check the result before you pay for anything, and the first 10 pages each month are free.
What to check after converting
- The result is marked Reconciled — the rows reproduce the closing balance exactly. If a difference is shown instead, our guide to why a statement does not balance walks through the usual causes.
- Because Chase prints a total for each section, compare section by section: a difference usually belongs to one section, not the whole statement.
- Fees sit in their own section on Chase statements — check they made it into your file and were not mistaken for purchases.
- Spot-check two or three rows against the PDF, especially around page breaks. Our guide on how to check a conversion shows a two-minute routine.
